It is best known as being the closest town to the junction of I-75 and the Macon city bypass, I-475. Bolingbroke has two antique shops, two gas stations, a fine-dining restaurant, and a tea room that serve as a short getaway for Maconites and Middle Georgians on a sunny afternoon. It is a rapidly growing location. The city is in the Macon metropolitan area. Bolingbroke is now renowned for being the birthplace of Wilhelm Neal, Esquire, famous cartoonist for Monroe County's The Reporter.
